I can see why this card was restricted. As long as it stays alive, you stay alive. I recommend putting a mystic veil on it so that it can be targeted by spells. I would put lots of wards on him, too. Just in case your opponent casts a Wrath of God or something.

Until end of turn, target creature's current power doubles and it gains trample ability. If it attacks, target creature is destroyed at end of turn. This spell cannot be cast after current turn's attack is completed.
Yet another restricted card. Of course most of the cards I pick will be restricted. For one forest, it doubles the power. That's incredible and it's only uncommon. There are so many creatures which you can use this on. Try sticking it on a Lord of Tresserhorn. It becomes a 20/4 trample and you can just regenerate it at the end of your turn. Incredible!

Adds 3 mana of any single color of your choice to your mana pool, then is discarded. Tapping this artifact can be played as an interrupt.
You knew that I was going to include this card. It's the king of combos. If you look at most 1st turn kills, you see that Black Lotus is included. It really changes the game around to get a Juzam Djinn or Balduvian Horde out on your first turn providing that you also have another land out.
